We joined a group of volunteers and went out to the Arrows of God Orphanage on Saturday, April 19th. We spent a few hours with them playing various games together in celebration of Easter. The best part was seeing their smiles and brightening their day a little. We all left feeling happy and grateful for the opportunity to spend time with them. It was really sweet!

Brian delighted the boys with his knowledge of local soccer |

Warming up the group with a few songs |

Deborah (center) runs the orphanage
Moriah helped a few other ladies paint the girls nails. |
The older boys played soccer (in their bare feet) for 3 hours straight in the hot sun!
There were lots of graceful maneuvers and no casualties. =) |
For the younger kids we did several activities..
He was pretty pleased with his 'cool' egg man. =) |
Jenna helped put eyes on this boy's bunny. |
Señora D. was as charmed as I was with this cutie, and kept bopping it up in the air for him. |
The boys loved this pop or get popped balloon game! |
She, on the other hand, just enjoyed the balloon on her ankle and floated around the room admiring it. Sadly one of the boys spotted her vulnerable balloon and conquered. We quickly replaced it. =) |
The egg racing was pretty gracefully done, and lasted 'til all six of the allotted eggs had fallen. |
Quinn took a little break after helping with the egg races.
Brian taught this boy a few chords and he was able to play happy birthday for us before we left.
Until next time my sweet friend..
