Missionary Moments in their respective MTC's (or CCM as its called in Peru).

Well I'm  doin pretty good. The MTC is HUGE! They've got everything. So it's been a week and a day since I got here, and I already know I'm going to miss it. The first few days went by sooo slowly but now the days are going by so fast! :J Anyway our teacher only speaks to us in Korean and the class in progressing pretty quickly. We already've been learning how to pray and testify. Also, we teach an "investigator" every day about the gospel...which is sort of ridiculous knowing that she IS a member and she DOES speak engrish very well. Yesterday was our last day teaching her and she committed to get baptized at some point muchhhh later, but we tried our best. We also get to watch and attend talks from general authorities and some of them (two in particular) were really good. We have to watch a tv of the general authority speaking from the main building of the MTC in separate rooms because there's 2600 people here (600 new this week). I really get along with my district; we have 8 elders and 2 sister missionaries, and play volleyball on the missionary field every morning. My companion, Elder Ellis, is a good friend. He's slow (herher jerst kidding) but we're working hard to learn korean together.

Hola everybody!
> >
> > So this week was absolutey nuts but hey, it´s also been the best week of my life. We got in from our flight to Perú at 4:30 in the morning and then sang church songs and then went to bed and got up at 6:30. Muerte. The first day we didn't really do much but the second day was like a Spanish baptism. Our teachers mostly just speak Spanish with us and it's amazing to me what I actually understand! (About 1 billionth of español) :) Anyway, so a little about this place. Lima reminds me very much of Lagos, Nigeria as far as the town set-up and everything. Also we ride the bus taxis. The crazy bus taxis. You know what I´m talking about. I'm also still alive which should tell you something about God's protection for His missionaries ;) It´s been so funny to watch the Utah Elders who just got out of high school experiencing the biggest culture shock of their lives! ...wow, do they even follow traffic laws? (Nope.) ...wow, they have Coka Cola here too? (Yep.) Wow, they dress like we do in the US. (Also yep.) :) But I love these people here in Peru already so much! When they smile the world lights up...Nothing is better than a smiling Peruvian...(except a Peruvian child...even when they're angry you just want to give them a galleta or something) ANYWAY so the CCM (MTC) here in Perú is gorgeous!!! So gorgeous! The group that I came with has like 50-60 Elderes y Hermanas in it. We're the biggest group to come this year. In fact, we've overflowed the capacity of the Lima CCM so much that they are now sending people coming to Peru or Bolivia to the Mexico CCM instead! Close to half of the group that I came with is sisters (woot!) Anyway, there are 4 other sisters going with me to Iquitos and 4 Elders. My district is the best. ('How do you say Godhead?' (Hermana Gurney)... 'Dios Cabeza' (Elder Farnsworth) Kekeke. My companion is also the best. (You know the girl that we met in the airport Mom? That's my companion!) ...So AKA I´m learning how to get around with a person the height of a Peruvian...I've learned so much so far and because of some great advice from my two favorite missionaries I came here with the mindset to not get overwhelmed by the language and to not compare myself with others but to be myself. (Thanks friends! You know who you are!) And no, the CCM isn´t easy but I have never made a better decision in all my life. This was the right choice.
